This picture was taken a few months ago on a bright day for S; he had enrolled in school, had a new job and his dad had bought him this car. My heart was hopeful for him.
Since then, he's totaled the car, dropped out of school and yesterday, was fired from his job. I'm trying hard to have hope for him but my heart knows that he has a larger problem that can't be fixed until he admits to it. I can't let myself think about how long, if ever, that might take. I take it day by day. Thankful for each day the Lord lets him live, praying that this day will be the day he comes to his senses.

Oh my!! My heart hurts for you right now. As a mother it's got to be so hard to watch your adult children make the wrong choices. Know that I'm praying for you my sister and for your son as well.

I am so sorry to hear this. I know you had such hopes for him his time around. Intervention? I know you pray. Continously. I know you've tried the tough love route.

So my heart is aching for you, dear one. I will continue to pray for that boy, too.

Hugs and love.

We can never quite understand the path our children choose to take. We do our very best, with God's help, to raise and nurture them and pray that once they become adults, they'll "make you proud" in their choices.... but for whatever reason, that is not always the case. And regardless of their age, you will always be concerned about their well-being. Praying that God will give you the strength to see you through this....whatever the outcome and that your son's eyes will be opened.

I know, know, know your pain. I'm sorry you're hurting, but I'm glad that you turn to God with it.
I will pray for you right now.
