sister act

It's official: I have NO babies or even kids anymore. The youngest turned fourteen and for her birthday, she asked to have her hair colored auburn. Being the with it mom that I am, I said yes. So today she got a new do and her big sis took her shopping and out to dinner, just the two of them. Dad and I went to Lowes for a faucet and picked up take-out Thai for dinner. Whooohooo!

Life changes are so hard on mom's.
My Grandma used to say if you can adjust you got it 1/2 licked. Happy Birthday to her! She looks good in auburn. Love the toe socks too.

love, janel

I'm ashamed I haven't been over to your blog in so long! I was reading back through your posts and saw the one about your son....you know my son started in what my friend calls "the big lie" lifestyle when he was 15 and he's now 38. He's currently in detox, but not because he wants to or realizes he has a problem, but because he violated his probation.

I know that people give advice by the truckloads, but I just want to tell you that you really can hang on, but only with Jesus. I also want to say you can't control him, looking back, I now see that I never had any control.....once they're past the age when they are with you 24/7, they make decisions that we cannot control. I finally had to really begin to trust the Lord with his life.

I didn't see your email on here, I would have emailed this....but hang on!!!! I'll be praying for him as I pray for my own. God is faithful. Sometimes, we just can't see that!

And your daughters are beautiful!
